Rolling out the weed matting at the demonstration catchment project site

The N4C invites you to help us revitalise our inner city creeks. We live in the most highly urbanised catchment in Queensland. Channelised 'drains' and pipes have replaced what used to be beautiful creeks where our children could play and where we could enjoy nature close by. Buildings on flood plains, surburban and industrial run-off; introduced weeds and the abundance of hard concrete surfaces in the catchment are combining to destroy what could be a wonderful natural resource.

But all that is changing. The voice of the community is the most effective way of creating change. Membership in the N4C means you can have a say about what happens to your creek. We are in dialog with Brisbane City Council, State Government and Federal Government. Together, we are working to restore natural vegetation and green corridors through our inner city suburbs and along our creeks.

So come and have a look around our site, become a member, find out how to participate in bush care groups (or riparian rehabilitaion projects if you like to call it that) and learn something new about community, lifestyle and creeks.
